Ability New Brunswick
Formed in 1956, Ability NB is a provincial community-based non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower the independence and full community participation of persons throughout New Brunswick who have a mobility disability. We achieve this by:
- Being the primary voice for New Brunswickers of all ages living with a mobility disability.
- Being a leader in service delivery and an influential voice in Federal, Provincial and local public policy development for persons with a mobility disability.
- Providing professional, responsive, and caring innovative programs and services.
- Knowledge, expertise and lived experience.
- Being key partners in the rehabilitation, disability and research fields.
We deliver bilingual services throughout NB from Grand Manan to Miscou Island. We work with all who have a mobility disability – children, youth, adults, seniors and support their family members.

Canadian Deaf Blind Association of New Brunswick
From 1982, CDBA-NB Inc. has been involved in providing support and services to individuals who are deafblind and their families throughout New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The NB Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors that volunteer their time. The day-to-day operation of the organization is developed and supervised under the direction of the Executive Director and office staff while Intervention services are provided by our Intervenors.
The Canadian Deafblind Association – NB Inc. is committed to assisting all persons who are deafblind, deaf or blind with associated disabilities and their families throughout New Brunswick and PEI. CDBA-NB Inc. helps people of all ages and with a wide range of complex exceptionalities. And as people’s needs have changed, CDBA-NB has adapted to meet those needs, offering quality services that place the individual, and their family, at the heart of what we do.
CDBA-NB Inc. is an organization that endeavours to:
• Promote public awareness of deafblindness as a unique disability.
• Promote the philosophy of Intervention.
• Work with the government and other agencies to initiate and promote the development of programs designed to provide Intervention for individuals who are deafblind, deaf or blind with associated disabilities..
• Promote training in the area of deafblindness and Intervention.
• Act as a resource in addressing the needs of individuals who are deafblind.

Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick
The Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick (CMHANB) is a provincial, community-based organization dedicated to improving mental health and well-being for all New Brunswickers. As part of the national CMHA federation, one of Canada’s oldest and most established mental health organizations, CMHANB has worked since 1950 to promote mental wellness, prevent mental illness, and support recovery through education, advocacy, and community programs.
CMHANB delivers a range of evidence-based and community-informed services across the province, including programs such as Changing Minds, BounceBack, Living Life to the Full, and Coworkers First. These initiatives help individuals, workplaces, and communities build understanding, reduce stigma, and strengthen skills to support mental health in everyday life.
The organization collaborates with schools, employers, healthcare providers, and local partners to make mental health education and support accessible across New Brunswick. CMHANB’s mission is to ensure that every person has the resources, knowledge, and opportunities needed to maintain and improve their mental health, participate fully in their community, and thrive in our society.

Easter Seals New Brunswick
Easter Seals New Brunswick is a bilingual, not-for-profit organization, working in partnership with persons with disabilities, enabling them to attain independence and equality of opportunity available in their communities. Our mission is to assist persons with disabilities in achieving their full potential.
Easter Seals NB has been operating in New Brunswick since 1966 and is affiliated with the Easter Seals National Council. It has sister organizations across Canada, and is the sole Easter Seal license holder in the province of New Brunswick.

Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick
The Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick (LDANB-TAANB) aims to promote the understanding and acceptance of the ability of persons with learning disabilities to lead meaningful and successful lives. Our mission is to share and promote accurate information regarding learning disabilities, help families and students navigate the educational system, assist adults with learning disabilities and provide workplace support to employers.

Muscular Dystrophy Canada
For 70+ years, Muscular Dystrophy Canada has been rooted in the firsthand experiences and needs of people affected by neuromuscular disorders. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those affected by neuromuscular disorders by continually working to provide ongoing support and resources while relentlessly searching for cures through well-funded research.
Muscular Dystrophy Canada partners with individuals and families to help eliminate the barriers that can limit access, opportunity, and independence. While we are a pan-Canadian organization, we have particularly deep roots in New Brunswick, where staff, volunteers, and community members have long worked together to advance our mission. The province’s strong Acadian heritage has also contributed to higher rates of certain neuromuscular disorders due to a well-documented Acadian founder effect, making our connection to this region both historic and meaningful.
Muscular Dystrophy Canada helps individuals and families to navigate the healthcare system, access equipment funding, and stay informed on research and clinical trials, while advocating for public policy change on their behalf. With the support of Fire Fighters, donors, volunteers, and community members, we’ve made real progress — from early screening initiatives and care advancements to much-needed research investment. Together, we will ensure people living with neuromuscular disorders can access opportunities equal to their inner strength.

Neil Squire
Neil Squire is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to using technology, knowledge, and passion to empower people with disabilities. Its mission is to create social and economic inclusiveness by providing client-centered services including assistive technology assessments, training, consultations, information, and more, with a focus on ensuring the effective and appropriate use of technology.
In New Brunswick, Neil Squire’s Atlantic-based division plays a central role in advancing this mission through a wide range of programs, including the AT Help Desk. First launched in New Brunswick in 2013, the AT Help Desk offers free, bilingual, vendor-neutral assistance to anyone living, learning, or working in the province who needs guidance on assistive technology solutions.
With five New-Brunswick based offices, Neil Squire provides services across all regions of the province in both official languages. Through our innovative and collaborative approach to technology, we provide a wide variety of services, including Digital Literacy, Employment, and Assistive Technology.

New Brunswick Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
At NBDHHS/SSMNB, we are dedicated to supporting Deaf, hard of hearing, and deafened individuals of all ages. Our mission is to promote independence, inclusion, and equal access to the services and opportunities that are often designed for the hearing population.
We provide a wide range of services to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing communities. This includes interpreting services, employment support, advocacy, early intervention, transitional programs, senior supports and education for both children and adults. We also work closely with families to help them better understand and support their loved ones.
The Deaf and hard of hearing community is rich in culture, language, and resilience. We are committed to removing barriers, challenging inequities, and creating a more accessible and inclusive society for all.

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (NB)
Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (NB) is recognized as the leading national and provincial provider of vision rehabilitation services for individuals who are blind or experiencing significant vision loss. Our mission is to empower New Brunswickers of all ages to build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to lead full and active lives. VLRC (NB) delivers services across the province through certified specialists, providing support in person, virtually, at home, in the workplace, and within the community. Whether someone needs assistance with daily living, education, employment, or technology, VLRC (NB) tailors its services to support individuals in achieving their goals.
